Andi and Joey’s wedding was a detail dream come true! When Andi’s sister Jennifer reached out to me about photographing their wedding I was so pumped! Jennifer was designing all the details and this lady has an eye for design! I knew there would be so many fine details to photograph and that is a wedding blog dream come true! The first time I met Andi I knew this was a meant to be partnership, we talked and laughed over coffee for almost 2 hours! Her navy and blush ideas were a perfect match for me, if you know me at all you know I love all things PINK!
Andi and Joey were married at The Barns of Kanak in Prince George, Virginia. This venue is nothing short of spectacular! They have an an amazing team to work with, they are so accommodating and the views of the farm are beyond picturesque. I arrived on what must have been the hotttesst day in May that Virginia has ever experienced! We had not had much luck with weather photographing their engagement session or with Andi’s bridals. Extreme weather was a trend with this couple so I was not surprised that it felt like a summer day! Andi was so calm and ready to roll down that isle to her new husband! The day was filled with small personal touches and beautiful florals. Andi’s absolutely gorgeous blush and lace gown was the perfect match for her elegant and rustic theme of the day, with her cowboy boots adding that perfect southern touch, and her sweet bouquet of blush florals and greens was the cherry on top!
The day was gorgeous. The light glowing. From the moment Joey saw Andi walking down the isle to become his wife, their wedding day was full of sweet love and genuine moments. The hearts of both Andi and Joey and their friends and families were overflowing with joy and happiness. I loved that I was able to capture their big day and I am so happy for them! Big thank you to Dawn Phillips with Dawn Michelle Photography for shooting alongside me and sweating it out!! Congratulations to the newlyweds!!

I love that Andi decided not to have a first look with Joey but to have one with her father! I could not hold back tears on this one, her Dad was such a kindhearted and gentle man.
This wedding will hold a special place in my heart! I love being a part of someone’s big day but getting to be part of their dream design process is even bigger! Andi not only hired me to photograph their day but I also hand painted each sign for her ceremony decor too!
Andi and Joey were so gracious to allow Dawn and myself to steal them away form the celebration for sunset portraits! We do not always have this option on the wedding day, and this was a treat! Hats off to Andi for being in that beautiful dress but stomping through the farm fields to get those perfect photos!
