In January I decided to have a contest for a lucky couple to receive a complimentary engagement session. Chandler and Corey were the winners. I knew Chandler through her Mom and from social media and she was always so sweet!  I had no idea how much I would ADORE her in person! Chandler is a sweet soul with an essence about her that just makes you want to smile! I had so much fun getting to know her and Corey a little better. I am excited to say I also get to capture their love story next year when they say “I do”!

I met them for their engagement session at Ricelands Farm in Dinwiddie Virginia.  This private farm was nothing short of gorgeous scenery with beautiful historic charm. I knew this would be a special session when they asked if they could include Corey’s 1966  Chevrolet Truck! Corey and his father build custom cars together, and they have quite an impressive fleet! This truck has a special place in their love story as well as being the first personal build Corey has completed.

We had great time getting to know each other, a day full of laughs and stories. We even went on scavenger hunt….for my cell! First time for everything on a shoot, right? Chandler had text me a few times that she was a little nervous and did not know how to pose.  They were such naturals!!!! They were so  comfortable in front of the camera and things just moved along with ease. It’s my goal to ensure that sessions are easy and fun for my couples. Sessions should not be hard!

Chandler and Corey have a once in a lifetime love, a fairy tale love story! Their session was perfect and I can not wait to continue this love story on their big day next year at  The Barns of Kanak!
